Happy Sabbath to all! 

I had a very productive week attending the Council of Elders meetings in Charlotte at our Headquarters.  We were extremely pleased to have Mr. Meredith with us for the majority of the meetings.  He seemed to even gain strength during the three days we were there.  We covered a variety of topics, both doctrinal and administrative.  For those of you who were wondering…the location of the place of safety was not announced! 

One thing that was brought up and discussed was how to approach concerns regarding Mr. Meredith’s health.  An obvious issue is what would happen if he is incapacitated or even dies.  Although it is an awkward subject to discuss, it is necessary to have a clear understanding of how we would proceed.  His recent current health crisis brought up this question for some who are not aware of the procedures we have in place.  As a result, Mr. Meredith was encouraged to personally enunciate our procedure to address this eventuality, which he has done in this week’s update.  

On Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Meredith hosted all of the council members at their home for dinner.  Despite her recent bout with cancer, Mrs. Meredith appeared strong and energetic. 

Again, our prayers for the health of Mr. and Mrs. Meredith and all of our brethren in difficult health are very important.  Let’s not forget them!
